The only way to keep this from happening vistaa to hibernate the PC. I have the SRX version with the 3-foot antenna and a triple antenna. Windows 7 Enterprise x64 ; Windows Server R2 x I read several instructions about installing different drivers etc. This is a “G” card so the service is not obsolete.
It worked fine in my Vista Home Premium 32 so it should work right? I did some internet searches for the driver, but only found a link about someone else with the same issues.

I have the latest driver installed, but what happens is the driver won’t be retained in the settings after I reboot it. Has anyone had this happen to? Earth – I wish I was on Risa. Any suggestions where I’d find a Vista driver?

PiperPilot Jun 26, My linksys wireless adapter worked fine in the 32 bit mode, the driver will not install in the 64 bit OS. I have the same situation, there is no working driver, and it appears that the chipset on the card is not used in any other device that might have a driver that would work. I tried hard but didn’t get my W-Lan Adapter running. Under XP it pulled in connections from the far side of the 12 story, unit brick and steel apartment building on the other side of a foot wide road.
Drivers linksys wmp54g wireless adapter not working Hi. Well here it is months later, and now here I am needing to do the same thing. I checked with Linksys and apparently they don’t have windows 7 drivers yet. BTW – thank you for your help. How did you resolve it. I recently upgraded to windows 7 professional, and now my network adapter does not work. My solution will be to return the machine to Gateway, and explain to them why.

The adapter was perhaps the very best available for XP.
