I wonder if you are entering the proper encryption key for your router? So please make your explanations as uncomplicated as possible. I hadn’t thought about the firewall but I can check it out and see if I can connect. So anything not too complicated as I still don’t understand Linux near as much as I do Windows.

I can’t say as I am still new to it although I have looked at many different flavors and distributions out there. Manuals for D http: Please login or register. So I know for sure that it works with Windows XP and would if the driver was right for this in Linux. Maybe you could try a different kernel,possibly an older one.

Thank you for your help! I know from using Windows though that the firewall is always on even wired it stays on as it has questioned downloads at least in Windows 7. One is to the manuals available from Dell, the other is from a site called eHow, which I have gotten good info from in the past. I don’t even think you can do that with Linux and the FN key that controls the functions at the top of the keyboard. Maybe Linux works differently? Hi I know my wireless card works completely in sending and receiving to my router as I have had it set up with Windows XP and it works fine.

Must be something wrong with how the software is written as I can see networks so I know it wasn’t off. I unfortunately can’t connect to any of them even if I had the key.
